Evolving from a Trappist abbey to dairy and later brewery, Brouwerij St. Bernardus has a longstanding relationship with the monks of Westvleteren. So close that they used to brew their beer for them. Today, the brewery solely brews their own beer and is known the world over for maintaining an incredibly high quality. A dark beer with a full, ivory-coloured head. It has a very fruity aroma, is full of complex flavours and has a perfect balance between bitter and sweet. Meat dishes, game preparations and blue cheese are a perfect match with this beer.
