Katla Wines Doris 2025 Red (Katla Wines)

Jas sources Dornfelder and Sauvignac from Lukas Krauss and Riesling from Niklas Rückrich — all from organically farmed vines in Rheinhessen. Each variety handled differently: Dornfelder and Sauvignac semi-carbonically for five days for colour and fruit, Riesling direct-pressed for freshness and acidity. Blended and fermented in stainless steel, 8mg/l sulphites added at bottling only. 1,300 bottles made.

Darker than your average rosé, lighter than a red. The brunch bottle, the sunshine bottle, the second-bottle-without-thinking bottle.

Tasting Notes
Aroma: cranberry, violet, blueberry, light honey
Palate: fresh dark fruit, skyr-like tartness, subtle floral note
Texture: low tannin, lively, electric acidity
Finish: sharp, clean, and refreshing

Serve lightly chilled.
